618Journey Southern Illinois is a movement of followers of Jesus Christ that do life together and engage in culture. This means that we are a church and just a small part of the worldwide movement of Jesus. We are a missional body who believes that every person that loves Jesus is made by God into a missionary. It is our hope that we would let grace lead us into conducting ourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel regardless of the circumstance. Our One purpose is to live like Jesus and multiply. Jesus does what morality and legalism cannot, He transforms hearts. To take a quote from John Pipers book Don't Waste Your Life. The greatest cause in the world is joyfully rescuing people from hell, meeting their earthly needs, making them glad in God, and doing it with a kind, serious pleasure that makes Christ look like the Treasure He is.
